Our first day at sea was wet and windy but the sun did make an appearance late in the day. Some whales were sighted a long way from the ship.
Today was planned to be a low key day which meant sleeping in and room service breakfast.
I braved the wind and pounded the deck to get my step count up. My goal is to average 10k steps per day.... currently I am falling short which is mainly due to blisters from new joggers!!
I managed to make a short appearance at the Knitters and Crafters get together before heading to lunch in the dining room.
We have our trivia team organised and we got a pretty average score at our first quiz. Onwards and upwards from here!!
We were lucky enough to be invited to a cocktail party hosted by our travel agent which was a nice gesture. We also got to meet our Commodore who will be retiring after the completion of the World Cruise in September.
At night we saw the stand up comedian Jeff Green who put on a good show.
The girls then had a bit of female bonding over dinner and a very special bottle of bubbles while the men had pizza and beer then went to cheer on the Blues at the first State of Origin game..... a great win for NSW which has been a long time coming!
Tomorrow we will be in Brisbane.
